half term is soo over… back at college

hey everyone

After a long week of half term we are now back at college working hard on my fashion sketch book and shop reports.

Ive been doing alot of designs for my fashion sketch book but i only have like 18 0r 19 drawing to put into my book because i keep drawing and putting them in the trash  im very critical as im not very strong at drawing

i’ll keep trying tho. I have decided to take my profile person down the 50′s pin-up route which in quite excited about as im totally obsessed with pin ups.

Ive been doing research on my shop reports ive decided to 3 shops which i love and that are very different from one another so i have selection of shops.

this week i will be continuing to do work on the shop reports and sketch book and hopefully get them finished this week and can hand them in.

HEY PEOPLES OF THE WORLD

Hey eveyone another crazy week has just been wrapped up and im heading into another.

My mom and dad were down visiting last week which was a super huge help i got lots of work done at home.

Recap on last week -

Monday – we played about on photoshop and had a lecture in the afternoon.

Tuesday – I did more work on my specification sheet for my beautiful shirt blouse  and i aam pleased to say that i have finished it and its really to hand  in.

Wednesday – I made a pattern for the Oversized shirt block we done last weekand it turned out really well i think 4years of pattern construction is paying off

Thursday -  What can i say about thursaday . What a day.lol

I raced around to finish my samples for my sewing technical note  book i mangaed to get most of them done but theres  two tricky ones that i couldnt do so ill do them when marie comes back from paris.

In the aafternoon  we had a life drawing class it was actually really good i really enjoyed it. I have actually got some ok pieces to put in my fashion techical note book

It is now monday 19th october 2009

Half term is coming nearer and ………………….     IM GOING HOME TO GLASGOW TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!

What ive been up to in the past week….

Last week at college was fun and hard work. I was off a few days but when i was there this is what we did..

Monday -  I went to the castle museum in york for inspiration for my fashion projects. It was really fun and interesting and  kind of creepy too there was dungeons and cells and stuff.weird.

I managed to take lots of photographs of cool things that inspired me.

I’ll post the photographs in the next few days.

Wednesday – We had to pick a persons profile bascially a made up profile i picked what i think is the most interesting . Nina , she is an ex catwalk model and works for charity. Then we made a trend board to come up with ideas for your collection that i have to do for her. I have to design a collection of casual wear and either work wear or sports wear.

Ive decided to do Casual and work wear as i think that i would get more out of doing those.

Thursday  – what a fun day (not) The task for the day was to draw models out of magazines upside down with out taking your pencil off the page im not a strong drawer but i did my best.

Saturday – I actually did a really cool drawing  took me a few hours but i think itwas worth it.
